Professor Robyn Dowling (Associate Dean Research)
Robyn is an urban geographer and planner in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning. She has research expertise in patterns of urban mobility, transport disruptions, and urban governance in the face of climate change. Her research has three strands. In terms of social and cultural geographies of cities, she has widely researched the ways in which identities are lived in suburban homes and neighbourhoods. This includes long-term research on the suburbs and homes of Sydney, and is documented in international journal publications and her co-authored book titled Home.
Greater Sydney Commission CEO Sarah Hill
In January 2016, Sarah was made Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Sydney Commission. Sarah Hill MPIA is recognised as a leader in the planning of communities. Sarah has gained national and international recognition for her workin urban planning and property economics. She was named Planner of the Year at the Planning Institute of Australia’s 2016 National Awards for Planning Excellence and NSW Planner of the Year in November 2015. Sarah is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Technology Sydney. She is an alumnus of the Urban Planning program at The University of Sydney and is currently enrolled in a PhD at the same university.
